Updating firmware

Updates are offered on the printer screen, in Bambu Handy and in Bambu Studio's Device tab. Update when the printer is idle, keep it powered on during the whole update, and read the release notes — some versions change calibration behavior.

Slicer setup

1. In Bambu Studio (or OrcaSlicer), add the Bambu Lab A1 printer with the nozzle size you have installed.
2. Pick the plate type that is actually on the printer.
3. Use the official Bambu filament profiles for Bambu filament, and the Generic profiles as a starting point for other brands.

Custom filament profiles

When you calibrate flow or pressure advance for a non-Bambu filament, save it as a user preset so the result is not lost after the next update.
