Extruder Clicking & Clogs

The V3 uses a direct-drive extruder, so the usual Bowden-tube problems of the original Ender 3 are gone. Clicking now almost always means:

  1. Clog or partial clog — do a cold pull or replace the nozzle.
  2. Nozzle too close to the bed on the first layer — raise the Z-offset slightly.
  3. Printing too fast for the temperature — raise the temperature by 5–10 °C or lower the volumetric speed.

Keep the spool on a holder that turns freely; a sticky spool makes the extruder work much harder.
