Auto Leveling & Z-Offset
The K1C measures the bed with strain-gauge sensors: the nozzle itself touches the bed and the printer senses the contact. No manual knobs, no paper test.
When to re-level
- After moving the printer or swapping the build plate.
- When the first layer looks thin on one side and thick on the other.
Fine-tuning Z-offset
If the first layer is evenly too squished or too loose, adjust Z-offset in small steps (0.02 mm) from the touchscreen during the first layer of a print.
Tip: Always clean the nozzle tip before leveling. Plastic stuck to the tip touches the bed early and every measurement ends up slightly wrong.
