Extruder Clicking & Clogs

  1. Check the nozzle temperature. At high speed the hotend needs more heat — raise it 5–10 °C.
  2. Check for a clog with a cold pull. The Neptune uses standard nozzles that are cheap to replace.
  3. Check extruder tension. Too loose and the gears slip; too tight and they chew the filament.
  4. Check the first layer — a nozzle pressed into the bed blocks extrusion completely.
